Rubbish Christmas 2010

18 October 2010 by Tim 5 Comments

Rubbish Christmas is back! I would say it was by popular demand, but it isn’t.

For all the noobs out there who who haven’t partaken – this is Rubbish Christmas.

And we are off to a flying start with not one but two suggestions as to how you can delight your nearest and not-so-dearest this Yuletide.

Apple iPhone

No, I am not suggesting that you go out and waste your money on an iPhone, even if you are intending to give it away. But if you do happen to know that someone is going to be receiving one, or even has one already, then I have the perfect suggestion as to how you can complement their new ornament, by giving them something which is actually useful but subtly insulting at the same time. I quote …

… the Nokia 6310 was a great cell phone back in those days when you needed a mobile phone which would could rely on, which would never let you down by running out of battery, a phone that always has a strong signal and that you could use to make calls with clear sound.

Handtec will do you a refurb one for £51.69. Terrific value gift for people you know with more money than sense – a phone they can actually use to make phone calls without encasing it in a rubber dinghy.

Mickey Mouse

It is a mouse, it has Mickey on it. You can get it from Morgan Computers along with a USB Christmas tree. What more do I need to say.

I love Poundland, I’ll have to ask for rubbish present this year! Or will that disqualify me?

I that was H’s old phone (the one she lost in her car for a month or something) The best bit is the orange bit on the side which lights up 🙂

@(mostly) yummy mummy I had one of those too. It really is an excellent phone. As you may be able to tell, no iPhones of any type in this household 🙂
