Nothing To Celebrate

16 June 2008 by Tim Leave a Comment

“The Scottish Government is considering imposing a minimum price for alcohol based on its strength, BBC Scotland understands. … … Increasing the age for buying drink from off-licences in Scotland from 18 to 21 is another suggestion.” BBC

So let’s get this straight, a twenty year old voter who is home on leave from active service in Iraq to attend the birth of his fourth legally conceived child won’t be allowed to pop down the offy and buy a bottle of bubbly to celebrate with?

If that were me, I think I would be wanting to get elected as an MP as soon as I turned 21 so I could change the law.
