Lost In Translation

When officials asked for the Welsh translation of a road sign, they thought the reply was what they needed.

Unfortunately, the e-mail response to Swansea council said in Welsh: “I am not in the office at the moment. Please send any work to be translated.” BBC

You know, I have always thought having road signs and documents translated a complete waste of money. OK, I think it would be very sad if Welsh became extinct, but this is another example of a problem where throwing money at it doesn’t solve it.
