A Walk In The Park

29 July 2008 by Tim 4 Comments

We are fortunate that we live in between two parks, the larger, Wellholme Park is very crowded during school hols, but is lovely. Today we went to the other park for the first time. When we arrived, there were a bunch of young adolescents cluttering the swings, but they shambled off at the sight of a grown up, and much of the time we had the place more or less to ourselves.

It was good, we did some Physics (levers) on the seesaw and Big discovered Gravity, when Small got off suddenly. Anyway, it was good, apparently. We enjoyed it.

And we had Smarties lollies when we got back, but we are keeping it a secret from Jax, because we don’t do Nestle here. Shh!

Oh it is not much of a walk. I just thought it was a nice title. We are only a few hundred yards from a park either way, and the same to the town centre. I really do like living somewhere where it is possible to amuse the children with a range of outings without packing them into the car. Yesterday, we went to the canal basin. 🙂

Yes, this is a nice set of photos of her. It was a lovely afternoon, she really was having a really fab time, and I think it shows in the pictures.
