A restart of the browser seems to have fixed it. Apparently, reading a few threads on fora about this, that does not always work….
I wasn’t convinced the twitter wasn’t a virus so got round to you the long way (really must do a handy blog roll for myself).

I do have a copy of irafaS installed, it is rather good. It is the extensions that keep me using Firefox, rather than the browser itself.
