Balls

11 July 2006 by Tim

Following on from my ignominious return home yesterday with the car on the back of a truck, I got carted off by the RAC again, this time into Sheffield to get the immobiliser fixed. …. £875 of fixed, and I won’t have it back until tomorrow.

So I wasted a day wandering around Sheffield waiting for them to decide what needed doing and give me the quote – this having been told I could expect the car back at 4pm.

Anyway, the silver balls are a feature of the centre of Sheffield, it seems that the city has decided to turn itself into some kind of giant pinball machine, with water running over the balls too. Very odd.

Was it the ECU that went down?
We have a strange silver ball sculpture thing in the middle of Exeter too …

Yes (I think so), the expensive box under the bonnet, anyway.
Maybe the silver balls are breeding.

Nice use of the word “ignominious”.

The pies love those balls – we have to visit them every time we go to the library!
