He seems quite able to talk if he wants to. It is rare that he does and that is just plain annoying. He understands very well indeed and can communicate very effectively in a variety of ways, it is just puzzling that he hasn’t worked out that it is easier to say what you want rather than have to say no to everything you don’t. So, TBH, we are not worried, we are annoyed. ๐

Not sure how old ‘small’ is but both my boys did’nt say a word until they were 2, when they were 3 we started to get a few words together, then that was it full on talking – and no, they don’t stop now!

Hmmm yes, B talks in far more coherent sentances in his sleep than he deigns to use when awake. The other night for example he was crying out “But I need a weapon, I need a weapon now, I want to be Nick Junior”. Would be far more amusing if it didn’t keep me awake! Well done for a sentence Small!
Yeah, and just now the child who doesn’t talk was talking in his sleep. Is this the beginning of the end (of any chance of peace and quiet? ๐ )
I think chatteriness is on its way by the sound of it, brace yourselves.

Way to go, Small! ๐
I can loan you ear defenders if you like….. he may turn out like Becca – you know, making up for lost time and all that!
Soon you’ll forget you ever worried that he *wouldn’t* talk….

Tim,
What was the question?
See the title. ๐
I suppose I should have spotted that. ๐
